WinWeb CEO works from Heathrow runway

Even being grounded on the runway at Heathrow today couldn’t stop the WinWeb CEO from being connected to his team and working in the Cloud via WinWeb CloudAPPs.

By now you have probably heard the news about the plane forced to turn around and land on the runway this morning at Heathrow because one of its engines were apparently “on fire”. Luckily no-one sustained any serious injuries and the pilot managed to land the plane successfully with just one engine.

Stefan Töpfer, WinWeb CEO, was on the Heathrow runway preparing to depart for the US when the stricken plane landed and left all other planes grounded for up to two hours. Despite the delay, Stefan was still able to work while stranded on the runway thanks to the power of mobile broadband and cloud computing.

Cloud computing allows all of our users to access their data no matter where in the world they currently are – whether they are sat on the tarmac at Heathrow, sipping cocktails on the beach or in their kitchen at home.
