Has your small business been given the swine flu "vaccine"?

swine-flu.jpgLast week the numbers of swine flu victims has doubled in the UK. How is your business prepared for the apparently coming wave of swine flu infected people? The northern hemisphere is going to suffer this winter with more swine flu victims than last summer, according to experts.

How can you make sure your business is not going to suffer unduly? Is there anything that can be done? The good news is yes, you can prepare for the coming pandemic:

  1. Almost all countries are offering a vaccination now. You should keep your staff and their families informed about the vaccination availability in your country.
  2. Maybe you should think twice before going to your next face-to-face meeting. Is it really necessary or could you do it all on the phone, using online meeting software and screen sharing technology?
  3. Let staff work from home, especially if they don’t really need to come to the office. This will help you to maintain a skeleton staff level, if the worst comes to the worst.
  4. Use online software, like WinWeb’s OnlineOffice, to allow staff to work and collaborate from home with colleagues.
  5. Make sure nobody comes to the office with swine flu symptoms.

It is always a good idea to plan ahead and be prepared. Involving staff at an early stage will create awareness and readiness.
