WinWeb announces today it’s global support for Global Entrepreneurship Week 2008 and Make Your Mark – Enterprise Week 2008 running from November 17th to the 23rd, to foster small business start-ups and the entrepreneurs of the future.
In a “Think Global. Act Local” move the British Make Your Mark campaign did exactly that it went global. It’s objectives are to inspire, connect, mentor and engage young people around the world. Young people from over 75 countries around the world will come together for one week to generate new ideas and seek better ways of doing things.
Carl Schramm, CEO of the Kaufmann Foundation, the second founder of the Global Entrepreneurship Week said:
“The entrepreneurial spirit is an invaluable resource the world must tap to extend the benefits of economic growth to more people across the globe, and address the complex challanges facing us all.”
WinWeb could not agree more, that is why it has decided to support these two campaigns two fold:
Firstly, WinWeb will celebrate 15 years in business with it’s Business’09 campaign starting during Global Entrepreneurship Week/Enterprise Week 2008 and announce the global prize winners during the event in 2009. The main prize money is £10,000 or equivalent in US $ or Euros.
Secondly we will sponsor any business start-up or any business start-up planning exercise with nine (9) months free OnlineOffice access during this years global event week.
Both of these measures are open to anyone world-wide. Stefan Töpfer, CEO of WinWeb remarked: “These two campaigns are so aligned to our goals of fostering a society of economically independent people who are entrepreneurs and socially engaged, that our support for the great work of these campaigns has only just begun.”
Happy ‘entrepreneuring’ everyone!
