How to Edit the Start Date of Your Financial Year in WinWeb Accounting Software

Before you first start using WinWeb Accounting Software and entering financial data, you will be required to enter the start date of your financial year. You should be very careful when you enter a date because any error here that needs to be corrected later is likely to result in having to completely re-enter your data.

If you have made a mistake and need to change the start date of your financial year you will need to remove all of your accounting data and begin again. You should also note that it is not possible to change the start date if you have already submitted a Year-End at any point.

Winweb Console - Accounting

To reset your all of your accounting data and start over, click on your name in the top right of the console and then select ‘Preferences’ from the dropdown list. This will open a ‘Preferences’ window from which you should select the ‘Data Backup’ option.

From the ‘Accounting Data Backup’ window that opens, you should select the ‘Delete’ option. Resetting all of your accounting data will only remove information from the Accounting module, all of your contacts etc. will remain unaffected.
